  • Erotic photos. Erotic stories. Filth. Kink. Life.

I am Kincaid Blackwood… a storyteller who specializes in what one might call "erotic surreality." I think women are beautiful, sexy, naughty apparitions in our dreams, hopes, fears and fantasies. The stories you find here are about that.

Sometimes I tell stories using my words, other times I tell them by using my photos. ALL of the content here is created by me. These pictures are not OF me (okay, except for the one); I'm just a guy who shoots hot ladies and writes kinky stories. All collaborators were 18 or older at the time of shooting.

Hide your women and children because one might consider my stories to be "unsafe." On second thought… just hide the children who are under 18 and I'll deal with the women myself…

*If you post photos I took which you found somewhere and it's not a reblog, at least tag that photo with "Kincaid Blackwood" so that it can be easily searched. It costs you nothing. Takes 3 seconds. //

Been at home sick since yesterday afternoon.  The shoot I did last weekend has me in good spirits, though.  The model is Spiro Scindo.  All images © Kincaid Blackwood…

In class today, we were asked to present images from other photographers who inspire us.  So I did.  Oddly, my peers and my professor all admitted to a surprise which I did not see coming: that almost all of the imagery I presented was B&W.
This amuses me for two reasons.  First, there was a time when people associated my work with monochrome which, in my worthless opinion, is a little unfair.  One’s work has to be about far more than such.  I like to think that my work either has depth OR that the shallow things which DO identify my work have nothing to do with color or lackthereof.
Second, was the fact that the B&W imagery was unexpected.  I think that stems from the thought (on the part of the other students and my professor) that I might not respond to black & white images to the extent that the influences which I brought in were dominated by black & white imagery.  Personally, I thought nothing of it, focusing on entirely different elements within the photo.  None of them felt that the content of the photos was out of line with my photographic ideology, but they did feel like the monochromatic focus was notable.  It was pointed out by one student that I do work within a unique color palette but it is color nonetheless.  That color palette was what had been expected.
Personally, I don’t really respond to black & white as a compositional element since I rarely view it as one.  It’s just a visual aspect.  Over time, I’ve had people to compare my work to that of named photographers or direct me to them (“Hey, I think you’d like the work of So-&-So; check him/her out), some of whom exhibit a lot of black & white photos.  When I’d go and review that work, I never focused on the monochrome aspects to any lengthy degree, looking instead at the moods and and other aspects of the work.  It’s the way I look at anyone’s photography.
So, yeah, for the better part of 5 years I’ve shot almost all color.  Prior to that, much of the model-portfolio building was color as well.  But, sure, I did shoot a good bit of black & white too, though not much lately.  I hate that such a superficial element was considered a defining characteristic.  But just as proof to those out in tumblr-land all post a few B&W photos over the course of the next week or so.

On air!

I’m into my 3rd week as a DJ for SCADAtlanta Radio (for those who don’t know, I’m pursuing my Masters of Fine Art in Photography at the Savannah College of Art & Design).  So far, I have more listeners than any other DJ, HOWEVER, I’m greedy and I want more.

So listen in.  I’ll be on from 10pm until Midnight every Thursday.  That’s 54 minutes from right now.  This is internet radio, meaning you can access it from any iTunes device.  This is all emerging/underground music.  No Top 40 (there’s enough of that shit on FM radio).

Hope you join me.

I missed 300…

I had intended to say a little piece when the count reached 250 but I missed it and thought I’d say something at 300.  Well, I missed that as well (though not by much).

At any rate, the number of people keeping up with (Gziss, I hate calling people “followers”) this photoblog is now over 300.  No, that’s not much compared to others who have… say, thousands of followers, but I’m intentionally deliberate.  I only post my own work (I have another tumblr for reblogs of things I find on the internutz) and I don’t really post frequently.  I like a small, slowly growing number for some reason.  I really don’t know why.

I’m sure that some of the stories turn people off.  That’s okay.  Collin J. Rae -a friend and photographer whom I admire- imparted a bit of wisdom upon me once and that was to always do for self as an artist, never to shoot for what you think others might want.  If you do that you’ll never be stuck perpetually chasing the whims of people who don’t like your work and you’ll never be personally satisfied as an artist.  I’ve tried to internalize and embrace that.  Some won’t enjoy everything I shoot or write, but that’s really not the point.

At any rate, thanks to all who keep up, those who “like” and “reblog” photos.  I appreciate the interest.  I’ve no doubt that sort of thing has put my work in front of people who have an interest in publishing work like mine or who have shows or whatever.  But really, I do this because I like shooting sexy shit and I like to share it with others, even if I never do another show or get any other publications or get any more people following along.

Anyway: thanks.  And to show my appreciation, here’s a picture of Meagan sucking her thumb to make you feel good and dirty…

Corporal Punishment: part I

A tale of woe… okay, not really.  More like a “tail of WHOA!”  Hailey’s “Daddy issues” cause her to act out in some bratty ways.  On a scale of 1 to “fucked up” this rates a mild “That’s just wrong!”  All fiction and images © Kincaid Blackwood…
